My friend Hildy Gottlieb (desert dweller, fixer of non-profits and talented photographer -- and many other things too numerous to mention) introduced me to this web-based comic. I've become rather addicted. What does this have to do with art? Aside from the fact that it IS art, work like this makes me laugh and gives me some balance. I need that right now. A lot of it.
If you go to his site, (www.xkcd.com) don't forget to roll over the comic with your mouse. There more here than meets the eye!
The work comes with a warning: "This comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors).

Oh Jeane Jeane Jeane, you can find so much better Internet humor than Mr XKCD. It depends, of course, on your tastes: I can direct you towards dark humor, witty humor, stupid humor...all of it FAR better than the six or so jokes that make up all of xkcd.
Oh Noah, Noah, Noah. I warned you that it contained advanced mathematics, which may be unsuitable for liberal art majors!
I read that comic for upwards of six months, and then I realized...it was the same 2 or 3 jokes, every time!
"We're nerdy and we do weird things!"
